CARD - Garden Party Challenge #4

Time for the 4th Garden Party Challenge.

This time, we are playing with colours and textures. For the complementary colours, I chose blue and orange.  Because my blue is rather dark, so is the orange, nearly rusty colour

Here the products I used: PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints, Grunge Paste, Versafine ink, Prima Art Alchemy wax, The Crafter's Workshop's stencil
Details of the background
Used Grunge Paste through The Crafter's Workshop clock stencil for the texture

Hope you will come and play with us

CARD - New Crafty Individuals stamps

I can finally share with you the brand new Crafty Individuals stamps which just got released first on Hochanda, and then, in a couple of weeks, you will be able to get them on the Crafty Individuals website.

I will start with CI-518, Butterfly Morning, which I must admit is probably my favourite out of the four new stamps. On this first card, I used it with their glossy card, which I love as the details just stamp beautifully on it.

As it is a glossy card, not every ink/medium will come out well. I definitely did not use any alcohol inks as I don't have any (and don't like them). So I used a different technique, which I will hopefully share with you very soon (health and energy permitting)

I made a grey blueish background on this one and stamped the image with Versafine ink.
I stamped it again on white card, and cut out the butterfly, clock, big letter, some of the circles which I then glued to the card to make them stand out.

I also embossed the stars using a Versam…

ART JOURNAL - Bee Patchwork

A new Art Journal page today, rather different... not what I usually do.  I will call it AJ patchwork. It's not a collage, didn't glue anything (other than the gilding) 😊 Lot of fun. Time consuming, but so much fun. I will do more of these for sure!!
Insomnia led me to this... too many incertainties about what's coming up next for cancer #1  as well as  side effects of medication for cancer #2... sooooo... I try to push those thoughts away and focus on art and "what am I gonna do next?" kinda thoughts.

CARD - Paperartsy / Tracy Scott designs

I recently bought 3 PaperArtsy stamp plates: the beautiful designs by Tracy Scott. Haven't had the chance to try they all yet, but made this first card I sent to my friend Gio (I used her stencil on it too).
Used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints and their mini scrip stamp. Very simple card but rather striking me think.

See you soon A bientôt  Isa 😊

CARDS - Dahlia et Versamagic inks

Have been playing with my latest stamps designed for Toutencolle: the Dahlias. Wanted to play with contrasts using Versamagic inks.

Here are the stamps I used on the cards and envelopes

Here's how I made the blue one... the two others are made following the same technique, only with different colours.

I started with stamping the biggest dahlia (this is a big one.. about 13 cm across) using the Turquoise Gem + Midnight Black Versamagic inks 💡TIP: if the stamping is not perfect, use the Versamagic as paints by pressing the pad on a glossy surface and use a slightly wet brush to paint💡

I then used masking tape to "hide" the big dahlia and stated stamping the medium on using Aspen Mist ink. This picture shows the result after removing the mask . Mask the medium Dahlias and stamp the small one using Aquatic Splash ink.

Finally stamp the quote "Rêver sa vie en couleur" (dream your life in colour) using the black and Turquoise Gem.

Mat the card with black and mount …
